Choose: Decay or Shine

Woke up this morning giving thanks to the Father and counting my blessings, there are many. Then I remembered a photo that I wanted to share and began looking for a poem to go with it. I have a few favorite poets, but I didn’t find anything that stood out. I Googled ‘decay poem’ and…

What Are Ya Reading

I just finished a 4-part series by Jenny B. Jones called Katie Parker Series. I read all four books in a week in between painting my house and packing up boxes.  We’re getting our house ready to sell. We are going to live in our travel trailer for awhile until we figure out where we…

In the summer I love watching the baby Jays explore the world…

Through the Goldenrod

Because its myriad glimmering plumes Like a great army’s stir and wave; Because its golden billows blooms, The poor man’s barren walks to lave: Because its sun-shaped blossoms show How souls receive the light of God, And unto earth give back that glow I thank him for the Goldenrod. ~Lucy Larcom
